Module guide
Weekly review
What the last seven days actually looked like, gathered in one place to reflect on.
Overview
Weekly review gathers the last seven days from what Atlas already knows and puts it on one page to reflect against: how many tasks you finished and how many ran past their date, where your goals stand and how complete they are, how your habits held including your longest streak, and the journal entries you wrote during the week. Nothing here is entered twice. It is a reading of the week rather than a new record of it, and the reflection you write goes into the journal at today, so there is one place your writing lives rather than a second store that slowly disagrees with the first.
Highlights
The capabilities worth knowing before you dive in.
- Throughput for the last seven days: what was completed, and what ran past its date
- Goal progress, so the week is read against what it was meant to move
- Habit streaks and what was completed today, from the habits you already track
- The journal entries you wrote during the week, gathered rather than summarised away
- A prompt that opens the journal at today, so the reflection is written where your writing already lives
Important to know
Limits, permissions, and sharp edges to keep in mind.
- This screen reads and does not write. Nothing you see here is a separate weekly record that could disagree with the underlying data.
- The window is the last seven days from now, not the calendar week. A review on a Wednesday reads the previous Wednesday onward.
- The reflection itself is a journal entry. There is no separate weekly review to find later; look in the journal.
- If a section is empty it is because there was nothing in that window, not because the feature is off.
How to use it
The primary workflow, start to finish.
- Open Weekly review at the end of your week.
- Read the four sections: what you finished, where your goals stand, how your habits held, and what you wrote.
- Notice the gap between what you meant to do and what the numbers say. That gap is the point of the screen.
- Follow the prompt into the journal at today and write the reflection there.
FAQ
- Where is my reflection saved?
- In the journal, at today. Atlas deliberately does not keep a second store of weekly reviews, so your writing is all in one place and searchable with everything else.
- Is the window the calendar week?
- No. It is the last seven days from the moment you open it, so the screen is useful on whichever day you review.
- Why is a section empty?
- Because nothing landed in that window. An empty habits section means no habit was completed, not that habits are switched off.
- Does opening this change anything?
- No. It only reads. Nothing is marked, closed or carried over by looking at it.
