PDF Studio

PDF Studio is a dedicated file workspace, not a CRM screen. Its front door is a grid of every PDF tool, with search and category tabs, and three controls in the header: Your documents, for PDFs you upload to Atlas and open in the PDF editor; Try the workbench, for a PDF you open from your device to merge, redact, sign, stamp, organize or read with OCR; and Analytics. A link from Growth Hub that names an account, contact, deal, document or envelope opens the Growth Hub PDF screen instead, so the record you came from is not lost.

• On the Growth Hub PDF screen, the fields that link a PDF to a CRM account, deal or envelope are hidden behind an explicit expander and stay blank until you choose them.
• The Growth Hub PDF screen loads only PDF documents, operations, stamp assets and templates, and PDF readiness. It does not load CRM or signing records for itself.
• The number of pages in a document is counted from the file itself when it is uploaded, not taken from whatever the browser reported. Where it cannot be counted, because the file is encrypted, was truncated in transit, or is larger than the measuring limit, Atlas records that the count is not known rather than assuming one page. A split plan for such a document says the page count is unknown instead of quietly offering a single part.
• Stamping with an image needs a PNG or JPEG image that you pick, and at least one placement with a page, a position and a width. Other file types are refused before anything is stamped.
• The standalone Redact tool draws black boxes only: the text and images under each box stay in the file and can still be copied or searched. Permanent redaction is a separate sanitizer on the Growth Hub PDF screen, and it stays disabled while its readiness cannot be verified.
• The ZPL preview is a faithful rendering, not a guarantee of how a particular printer prints: Zebra printers use their own fonts, so text is close but not identical, and a browser cannot send ZPL straight to a printer, so the ZPL file is what you give your printer or its driver. 2. 2Choose where the PDF lives: use Your documents to upload one to Atlas and open it in the PDF editor, or use the workbench to open one from your device.
3. 3Most tools ask for a PDF from your device and give you a result to download. Pick the file, set the options, then run the tool.
4. 4Use the page tools to reorder, split, extract or delete pages, and read a scanned file with OCR where it has no text layer.
5. 5For a PDF that belongs to a CRM account, deal or contract, arrive from the Growth Hub link that names the record. The optional connected workflow on the Growth Hub PDF screen stays closed unless you open it.
6. 6ZPL to PDF: paste ZPL, open .zpl, .txt or .prn files, or try a sample. Choose the print density and, where the ZPL sets no size, a label size. Click anything on a label to find its ZPL, then download a PDF at true size, a PNG, or every label as PNGs.
7. 7PDF to ZPL: choose a PDF and the pages, the label size and fit, and how grey becomes dots. Compare each page with what the printer will print, then convert and download the ZPL as one file or one file per page, or copy it.

Which languages can OCR read?

Any of the ten languages Atlas is available in. Choose up to three under Text language beside Extract text from images; it starts with your Atlas language and English. Extract text from images reads the file on the Atlas server. Showing the recognised words over a page reads it in your browser, with the same choice of languages.

Does PDF Studio depend on Sales CRM?

No. PDF Studio is standalone by default. CRM, Contract Hub, and Document Sign links are optional and explicit.

Is it Acrobat-complete?

No. PDF Studio covers the common jobs (organizing pages, editing and annotating, converting, securing, signing, compressing and OCR), but it does not claim to match every feature of a desktop PDF editor. Check that the tool for your job exists before you rely on it.

Why are some redaction actions blocked?

The standalone Redact tool only draws black boxes, so the content under them can still be copied or searched. Permanent redaction must remove the underlying content and hidden data, and that sanitizer lives on the Growth Hub PDF screen. If its readiness cannot be verified, Atlas keeps the file safe by blocking permanent redaction.

Which label printers do the ZPL tools work with?

Any printer that accepts ZPL, the language most Zebra and many compatible thermal printers speak. Choose the print density your printer uses, most often 203 dpi, so sizes come out right. PDF to ZPL writes each page as an image inside the ZPL, so the printer needs no fonts; Z64 compression keeps the file small, and plain hexadecimal suits older printers. In ZPL to PDF, a problem the renderer finds is explained in your language, listed with its line, and underlined in the editor.

Is PDF Studio available in my language?

Yes. In the browser, the tool names, taglines and tool panels read in whichever of the ten languages Atlas supports you have chosen.
